It’s incredibly easy to start working with a product, but it might be more challenging after the first steps. I believe that you can significantly improve user experience and reduce friction. That’s why I described a few raw improvement ideas, some low-hanging-fruits:
Waiting for analysis
- Follow the progressive complexity principle and hide unnecessary information to reduce cognitive load (you can hide the whole data table since there is no data yet anyway)
- Reduce uncertainty by explaining that a user will be notified about the end of the analysis through email
- Use this time to educate users or to focus their attention on something else

Opening empty pages
- Follow the progressive complexity principle.
- Introduce new functionality with explanations. Explain what the functionality is for, what a user will get, etc.

The current Surveys page is a good example of moving in the right direction. That said, it looks like it also could be improved further:
- There is a competition between the blue button and 3 starting points (Generate…, Interview…, Manually create…). It’s not quite unclear which of these 3 options the blue button copies or if it is a different flow. Maybe it’s worth removing the blue button.
- It’s not quite clear what kind of surveys and interviews can be created and what the difference between them is. Adding a brief explanation and a video explanation should help.
- The functionality of the “Upload your survey data” is not quite clear. A lot of questions could asked here: is it connected to three options, is it the same as adding sources, will the uploaded data be available only in surveys? It could be converted into the fourth option or completely hidden from this screen in its initial state.

These are only a few things that I immediately mentioned when tried the system. I’ll gladly dig much deeper into the system and user flows, so Kraftful could be even more amazing than it is now. Feel free to drop me a line [email protected]
